BTZ – your partner in Bremen
If you are entertaining private guests or business partners or arranging a conference or trade fair, then your first port of call should be Bremer Touristik-Zentrale (BTZ), the tourism marketing and tourism service organisation for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. Since 1996, the BTZ has successfully raised the profile of Bremen, attracting more and more visitors and strengthening the market position of Bremen in the city break sector. This is a huge plus for Bremen and its businesses, as city break tourism is a key growth market in Germany.
The BTZ, through its product management team, looks after visitors to Bremen with an absolute focus on service. We cater to the needs of independent travellers, private groups, clubs, company outings, school trips and coach tours. This begins with the initial enquiry and covers everything from the booking and the dispatch of travel documents to coordination on the day and invoicing afterwards. Through the BTZ, visitors to Bremen can also book individual activities (such as guided tours), specific modules or complete travel packages – online or in person. There is a choice of more than 20 different guided walks and bus tours and over 40 inclusive deals.
For people who are arranging conferences, incentive activities and events in Bremen, the BTZ offers its conference and event management service. The BTZ can take on all aspects of event management from hotel reservations and participant registration to the booking of service providers and the organisation of a supporting programme. Coach tour operators and corporate travel are dealt with by the B2B sales team.
Tourism marketing undertaken by the BTZ focuses on the traditional and the modern of Bremen, including the historical old quarter, the Bremen Town Musicians, the UNESCO World Heritage town hall, Böttcherstrasse and the Schnoor quarter. But tourism in the city also encompasses Universum Bremen, the botanika 'green science centre' and other worlds of science and discovery, waterside attractions such as the Schlachte Embankment and Maritime Mile and a multitude of major events from the six-day cycle race to the Freimarkt fair.
Every year, the BTZ also encourages travellers to 'experience Bremen' at tourism trade fairs and exhibitions around the world. At these events and in BTZ publications, Europe-wide advertising campaigns, newsletters and mailshots, BTZ tourism partners and affiliates from Bremen and the surrounding region are given the opportunity to market their own products and services to the general public.
