Forest4Fun near Weltvogelpark bird park currently has six exciting climbing trails of varying difficulty and more than 75 separate climbing elements. It is also home to the first 'Monkey Tree' in northern Germany, which doubles as the spectacular ascent to the 'black course'.
If you don't have quite such a head for heights, you can cross the lakes on a 'flying net' like Indiana Jones, zip across the water on a steel cable like James Bond or channel your inner Jack Sparrow as you conquer the pirate-themed obstacle course.
Forest4Fun – what's on offer:
• 6 different climbing trails up to 13 metres high
• More than 75 separate climbing elements
• 20 metre long rope bridges
• 15 metre high Monkey Tree and 'Base Jump', a free fall from the canopy
Over 4 hectares of forest criss-crossed by streams and lakes, visitors can climb from tree to tree using rope ladders, rope bridges, zip wires, climbing walls, go skateboarding and much more. After a short safety briefing, climbers aged 6 and over can don harness and gloves and explore the forest at their leisure. Safety is paramount. Visitors are monitored by supervisors on the ground who can point out mistakes and come to the rescue if required. The treetop adventure park is suitable for schools, clubs, families, corporate events and people looking for somewhere a bit different.
A world first:
Visitors taking the 'black course' are given fully secure climbing harnesses that cannot be opened while climbing.
