German Convention Bureau (GCB)
The German Convention Bureau (GCB), a non-commercial body, is the central advocacy and marketing organisation for Germany as a location for conventions. It acts as an intermediary between the organisers of conferences, conventions and incentive travel and the suppliers in the German conference market. The GCB began representing the main suppliers in all sectors of the German conference and convention industry back in 1973. Its more than 200 members include leading hotels, convention centres, towns and cities, convention agencies and many other service providers in this industry. The main sponsors are Deutsche Bahn AG, Deutsche Lufthansa AG and the German National Tourist Board.
