Climate House Bremerhaven 8° East
Take a thrilling journey around the world along the eighth degree of longitude.
Circumnavigate the globe and experience the Earth's different climate zones: from a cool, refreshing Swiss meadow via the blistering heat of the Sahel region to ice-cool Antarctica, on to a south-sea paradise and back to the changeable climes of north Germany. The journey at Klimahaus Bremerhaven® 8° Ost offers a close-up experience of how people live in the Earth's major climate zones and presents realistic impressions of authentic locations all along the eighth degree of longitude east.
In the Switzerland zone, visitors discover how climate change is already impacting on people's lives in the Isenthal valley. A little further on, in the Cameroon zone, they encounter tropical temperatures. The West African rainforest offers fantastically exotic scents and sounds at night – as well as insights into the business of deforestation. Torrential rain and lush green gorges await visitors to Satitoa on Samoa, before the journey continues through a breathtaking aquarium world that presents a fascinating view of a fringing reef of living corals.
