The koi is king of the garden pond
Peter Pfister has created a garden of 800 square metres that incorporates different styles of Japanese garden design, including a meditation garden, a promenade garden, a pond garden, a modern rock or zen garden, and elements of a tea garden. The idea behind the Japanese garden was to inspire visitors to recreate one of the many styles in their own gardens. The highlight is a 24,000-litre pond that is inhabited by original Japanese koi. You can also learn more about these fascinating fish at a koi seminar, which gives an introduction into the many different varieties of these ornamental fish, and covers their history, their habitat and care, and the koi pond.
