Programme for families/children/schools, information and shows ‘under the stars’, special activities for birthdays, corporate functions, events, etc.
See the stars from a totally different angle. The Olbers Planetarium at Bremen's University of Applied Sciences opens up the sky to star-gazers young and old. At family events and on specially arranged school visits, children of all ages settle down in comfortable cinema-style seats to listen to fairytales and stories about the night sky and learn about basic astronomical and scientific concepts and natural phenomena.
The planetarium also caters for adults with a programme of lectures, shows and concerts. It can host birthdays, company outings and other events and there are special afternoons for seniors. With 35 seats and over 23,000 visitors annually it is the most popular small planetarium in Germany
and is wheelchair accessible. Multi-channel lighting and a computer-controlled multimedia system help bring to life the traditional lectures and entertaining shows that take place under the artificial night sky.
