SchwarzLichtHof - indoor mini golf
18-hole mini golf course in a 1930s-50s dockland setting. You can retrace the steps of the dock workers in the old store house.
Glow-in-the-dark mini golf is all the rage in a handful of cities in Germany and opened in Bremen's Überseestadt district in December 2012.
So how does it work?
Basically, it's the same as mini golf. One key difference is that it is an indoor experience that is fun whatever the weather. The course in Bremen is set out in a warehouse under black light so that all the clubs, balls, props and obstacles glow in the dark. On 18 miniature fairways and putting greens, you can retrace the steps of Bremen's dockworkers, playing your shots between luminous sacks of coffee and fluorescent fishing nets with images and objects that conjure up the dockland atmosphere of the 1930s to 1950s.Experience has shown that the illuminated dockland-themed course is popular with players of all ages.
Bistro at the Alte Stauerei
Glow-in-the-dark mini golf is a sensational experience in every meaning of the word, but it doesn't end there. The bistro at the SchwarzLichtHof serves up ice-creams, cakes, fresh crêpes and jacket potatoes, as well as fine, slow-roasted coffee and a drinks menu that's full of surprises. In summer, you can also relax in our beer garden in a secluded courtyard. You might like to enjoy a beer before or after a round of mini golf – or simply visit for a beer. The bistro is open to everyone, whether playing mini golf or not. The bistro is open daily from 2pm, and on weekends and public holidays from 10am.
We are also pleased to offer an all-round service for a variety of events ('cabbage tours', children's birthdays, etc.).
Owing to high demand, reservations are recommended, particularly for corporate events and children's birthday parties.
