Böttcherstraße and Himmelssaal (german)

Description

Join a knowledgeable guide on a tour of Böttcherstrasse with its striking red-brick buildings, and enjoy a visit to the glorious Himmelssaal hall in Atlantis House. Böttcherstrasse, Bremen’s most famous street, connects the market square to the Weser river and is full of secrets and works of art. Commissioned by local merchant Ludwig Roselius in the 1920s, Böttcherstrasse became a 110m long architectural marvel. Its mix of art deco and expressionist brick-built style gives it its very own charm. On the tour, you’ll visit Atlantis House and the Himmelssaal – normally not open to the public – with its glorious glass ceiling. The tour ends with the carillon in Böttcherstrasse, where you’ll be enchanted by the sounds of the 30 bells made of Meissen porcelain.
