Guided tour of the Town Hall
Bremen´s 'drawing room' is the Marktplatz, and its greatest attraction is the Town Hall. Guided tours of the historic building provide an insight into its fascinating 600-year history. The tour includes the impressive Upper Town Hall and a look into the splendid Golden Chamber. Since 2004, the Town Hall and the Roland have been inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
€ 6.50 per person, free for children aged 12 or under accompanied by an adult.
Wheelchair users can take the tour of the town hall free of charge. Their companion (B on the ID card) pays full price. Holders of disability identification cards (>50%) receive a 20 per cent discount.
All year round Mon-Sat 11am, 12 noon, 3pm, 4pm, Sun 11am and 12 noon (2019: German tours Mon-Fri 11am, 12 noon and 3pm, Saturdays additional 4pm, Sun 11am and 12 noon) (approx. 1 hour)
Town Hall entrance nearest the cathedral, next to the statue of the knight on horseback (small door on the left, next to the display case).
The tour is conducted in German and English (2019: German and English separate)
The town hall is closed to visitors during official receptions, council sessions and other events. Private group tours available by prior arrangement.
