Thought-provoking, multimedia theatre. Experimental inhouse productions, far beyond the mainstream, with themes that touch on day-to-day life.
The Speicherbühne is an experimental space for theatre, music and performance. It is located at the edge of the evolving Überseestadt district in Speicher XI, Bremen’s last remaining dockland warehouse from the turn of the previous century. It offers artists the opportunity to form ever-changing collaborations to work on projects, and to support and inspire each other with their different skills. In addition to being a rehearsal and performance venue for in-house projects, the Speicherbühne is also available to other artistic groups for their work, or for guest performances.
Contributors find the themes for their projects in everyday life, often exceeding the confines of the theatre and using the whole city as their stage, especially the Walle district.
